.Net Software Developer - VB.Net Application Developer, SQL Server – Manila, Philippines

We currently have an opening for a Junior Software Developer/Software Engineer to provide support to our current projects. The ideal candidate must be highly organized and able to manage a high volume of work under extremely tight deadlines. Require the ability to manage a diverse workload.

What you'll be doing:

• Working with a small team you will be involved in the full life-cycle of development from gathering requirements, designing and writing code for windows based desktop applications.
• Work closely with a Senior Developer and Senior Management to build new features and applications
• Web/Application development and maintenance.
• Analyze new technologies and integrate into existing systems.
• Perform system and software testing.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 escalation technical support for applications
• Perform installation and configuration support for applications
• Prepare and peer review documentation (i.e. Software requirements, specifications, test plans, code reviews, and trade studies, etc.)

Qualifications/Requirements:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Familiarity with common web development standards.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary international team.
• Strong listening, analysis, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with .NET (ASP.NET, ADO.NET and VB.NET), C#, VB.NET, .NET Framework, Visual Studio, Visual SourceSafe, MS SQL, SQL database analysis, data manipulation, programming of SQL scripts and stored procedures, reporting services, Transact-SQL, DTS, HTML, XML and Java.
• Experience with MS Excel 2007, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Macros.
• Experience creating Crystal Reports
• Well versed in development standards using ASP.NET, VB.NET and C#
• Experience developing web pages, web applications, and web services.
• Experience with PHP and other open source languages and databases such as Firebird is a plus.
• Experience with CSS, WebUI Development, etc.
• Unit testing
• Experience working with version control tools (CVS)
• Very strong OOP design and GUI design/implementation skills.
• Prior experience in systems integration consulting, API development, or software/ hardware vendor services.

• 2-3 years of applications development experience.
• 2-3years as a consultant or contract developer working with .NET, C#, ASP.NET, Visual Studio.
• 2-3 years working with MSSQL 2000 or 2005, preferably 2005
• 2-3 years Web services (SOAP, XML)
• Pluses; .NET 1.1 - .Net 3.5, previous experience with international teams
